Car parking in Clevedon Village
We know that finding a car park in Clevedon can be difficult and we've heard the concern from the community about new developments not providing enough car parking.
The Clevedon Association's Design & Planning team has recently evaluated every project currently proposed for Clevedon Village and has prepared an overview which you can find below.
In summary, 240+ new carparks are currently proposed for our village. This excludes on street car parking that will be created if landowners remove driveways from the main street (which will be enabled by the rear laneways proposed, running parallel to the main street to the east and the west). It also doesn't factor in any parking restrictions (time restrictions, paid car parking) that would see long-term parkers (staff and commuters) encouraged to park further away from our main street where 'convenience parking' is highly valued.
Monument Road, North Road and Clevedon-Kawakawa Road all offer ample on-street parking within a 5 minute walk from the village centre. If you're planning to park your car for the day, please consider parking in these locations to ensure that car parking is available for those who need it in the village.
The data contained in the adjacent table has been collated from conceptual and resource consent drawings and is subject to final detailed design, consent and engineering plan approvals. It is current as at September 2026.
The Clevedon Association has prepared a webpage dedicated to the future development and growth of Clevedon. Our Future includes a number of useful resources and reference documents and will be the long-term home for car parking information, updated as new project information becomes available and designs are confirmed.
