Changes are coming to Clevedon. We’re harnessing current growth and development to achieve great outcomes for our community.
From its humble inception as a rural service town for colonial settlers, Clevedon Village is today home to 2,000 residents.
Enabled by Auckland Council's Clevedon Precinct Plan, developer-led construction of water and wastewater infrastructure, and demand for rural fringe living, Clevedon's growth is anticipated to continue at pace until it reaches a village population of 4,000-5,000 residents.
The Clevedon Association seeks to harness this growth to achieve the best possible outcomes for our community. We work alongside developers, decision-makers and local government, helping to shape a shared vision of what great outcomes look like, working together to bring them about.

In 2018 the Association, with the support of four major landowners, commissioned Isthmus to complete the Clevedon Village Design Framework, a community aspirations plan which drew upon community feedback, site analysis and best practice urban design principles to articulate a vision for Clevedon's growth and development that maintains and enhances our local character. Importantly, it sets out four key moves:

These key moves became the strategic foundation for our Design and Planning Subcommittee and have formed the guiding principles for numerous bodies of work:
