The Clevedon Art Trail brings together artists, makers, galleries and creative spaces across the Wairoa Valley, giving visitors the chance to meet the artists, explore their studios and experience their work in person.
There are two ways to experience the trail. During March each year, artists open their doors for a dedicated Open Studio event, with workshops, demonstrations, talks and exhibitions taking place across the district. Outside the event weekend, a selection of artists and locations can also be visited throughout the year.
Whether you come for the annual studio event or drop into the galleries open year round, the Clevedon Art Trail is a great way to discover local artists and see a different side of rural life.
Open Studio Event 2027
The annual Clevedon Art Trail Open Studio event brings artists and visitors together across a weekend of open studios, galleries, exhibitions and activities.
Meet working artists in their studios and galleries, see their work in progress, take part in interactive workshops, watch demonstrations and hear artists talk about their work. Guest artists also join the programme, adding new work and perspectives to the trail each year.

The year-round trail is self-drive, so you can choose which artists and locations to visit and make your own day of it. Opening days and hours vary between locations, and some artists are available by appointment, so please check the individual artist listings before you visit.
