Clevedon Showgrounds to light up Friday nights this summer
Friday nights are set to get hotter in Clevedon this summer, with three weekly sports events launching at the Clevedon Showgrounds.
Clevedon Touch kicks off with more than 420 players taking part in this brand new competition, held between 4.30pm and 7.40pm from Friday 30 October. Visit their website for more information.
Clevedon Tennis launched Friday Night Juniors Tennis this month, taking place between 3.30 and 6pm; all juniors are welcome. For registrations and enquries email jonob7273@gmail.com
Clevedon Cricket will run its annual 8-aside Super Smash cricket competition between 5.30 and 8pm from mid-November. Teams can still be registered via email clevedoncricket@gmail.com
The Showgrounds and Monument Road will be busy on Friday nights, and busier still when the Clevedon Farmers Markets team launch their summer Twilight Markets event (dates TBC).
To ease pressure on parking, organisers are asking people to bike, walk or carpool where possible. On site car parking will be available, with Sports Club volunteers will be on site to direct traffic to designated overflow hard stand areas. Drivers are asked to watch for children.
Thanks to the volunteers who make these events possible. Spectators are welcome, so come along to the Clevedon Sports Club and enjoy the atmosphere. Social memberships are available for non-players.
