Auckland Manukau Dressage Group kick off their Spr

Auckland Manukau Dressage Group kick off their Spring series this Sunday. With riders from across the region gathering to start competing their horses.

So what’s going on at the Showgrounds? The public are invited to watch, staying at least 10m back from the dressage rings at all times. Events begin at 9am so grab a coffee from the markets and enjoy some equestrian views, while some of New Zealand’s best riders kick off their season.

So what’s dressage? Dressage is a type of horse riding that demonstrates the ultimate partnership between a horse and rider - it almost looks like a dance! 💃 Horses are carefully trained by riders to complete a “dressage test” which is a series of movements that are judged by onlooking judges. It’s all a bit abstract! But hey, it’s fun!

The Clevedon Village Heart Project has received a $1.2 million boost from Auckland Council’s Fix & Finish Fund — on top of the $4 million already committed by the Franklin Local Board.

This means key stages can now move forward, including a new children’s playground, village green, repositioned car parking, and new toilets & bike hub.
