Clevedon Village Roadworks Update

17 September 2023

Further Weather Update : Due to forecasted weather over the weekend, Liveable Streets are further delaying the Main Street works. They presently expect to commence work by the 7th October.

This is urgent work but does require dry conditions. To prevent further degrading they will be doing a short-term patch up tomorrow 0800-1400 with the following diversion in place :

Diversion Route via Clevedon-Kawakawa Rd, McNicol Rd and Tourist Rd when the main road is closed.

Weather update: Due to forecasted rain, the roadworks program outlined below has been revised. Phase 2 work will be undertaken first, commencing as soon as the weather settles (predicted Wed 27 Sept). Phase 1 works will follow thereafter.
Resurfacing works on North Rd will also begin on Weds 27 Sept weather permitting.

Liveable Streets has contacted the Clevedon CBA to advise that they will be undertaking roadworks in the mainstreet over the school holidays.

Phase 1: Hyde Road to Monument Road.

Approximately 23-26 September. 24hrs/day working. Diversion via Hyde/Monument Rd.

Phase 2: Monument Road to Z Service Station.

Approximately 26-30 September. 24hrs/day working. Diversion via Hyde/Monument/Tourist/McNicol/Kawakawa Roads

Both lanes of the road requires closure to minimise duration.

North road is being resurfaced from 23rd September for 3 days. From Kawakawa Road to Mark Williams Place. 12hrs/day working with traffic lane control.

We have highlighted additional locations on North Road and at the village roundabout (Clevedon-Kawakawa Rd) that require remediation but have been advised that these are not being attended to at this time. Residents have been asked to log their issues with Auckland Transport.
