Originally from the Pacific Islands of Samoa, Maxine’s vivid paintings of tropical flowers, birds, and landscapes reflect both where she is from and her unique style. During her years living and working abroad in Singapore, she further expanded her practice by studying silk and batik painting under the tutelage of Asia and world renowned artist Mr. Said Tzee Sarkasi.
