Towards 2060
IS ANYONE IN YOUR HOUSEHOLD, CLUB OR ORGANISATION INTERESTED IN THE FUTURE OF THEIR COMMUNITY AND WANTING TO LEARN MORE ABOUT SUSTAINABILITY?
Council is offering some free workshops starting on 6 March - which aim to be more than just another council consultation. They will share information and develop some skills and confidence for local people living in the rural and coastal communities of Manukau to be able to advocate and present what they want for the future. The workshops are about having a really good discussion on the future of our communities, to do some visioning and to encourage community people to take some action. We will have an excellent facilitator from The Natural Step organisation - who guides people through the issues and processes in a way that is informative (and even fun) - and really gets people thinking and enthused about the possibilities using real-life examples. The first free workshop will be in Clevedon Village (venue to be confirmed) on Saturday 6 March from 9am to 4pm. Refreshments provided. To register interest, contact Carol McKenzie Rex.
