SRAM Tour de Ranges

The SRAM Tour de Ranges is a celebration of the sport of cycling and will take place on Saturday, 22nd January 2011. This event was created to attract all levels of cycling ability to some of the most remarkable roads in Auckland. Starting and finishing at the Clevedon A & P Showgrounds, the SRAM Tour de Ranges encompasses two separate events. The 110km ride will wind its way through the tree-lined country roads and rolling hills of the Hunua Ranges before entering Kaiaua and navigating its way along the Seabird Coast. From here the ride will take cyclists inland passing Tapakakanga Regional Park and the Orere Point turnoff en route to Kawakawa Bay. The final section will take cyclists past Clevedon Coast Oysters before making a left at the McNicol Homestead and continuing on to the finish. The 30km event takes cyclist directly out to Ness Valley, passing the infamous Ness Valley vineyards, before making a turnaround and returning along the same route.
